The Silvana skirt is a modern take on classic tailoring, blending masculine-inspired structure with a bold, feminine silhouette.

Its slightly flared cut and timeless midi length make it easy to wear, while the high front slit adds movement and elegance. Italian-style pockets, a slim waistband with belt loops, and refined details throughout create a polished finish. The skirt is fastened at the back with an invisible zip, and darts ensure a flattering, well-balanced fit.

Sewing Level: INTERMEDIATE. The key techniques are forming the front pleats, fitting the waistband, the Italian pockets, the front slit and fitting the invisible zip.

Size: from 34 to 52, for a height of 1 m 65 in size 36.

Supplies:

• Fabric for a width of 140cm: 34 -38: 110 cm, 40-44 : 140 cm, 46- 52: 160 cm

• Invisible zip 22cm

• 30 cm of fusible interfacing 

Choice of fabrics: a medium weight fabric (160 to 300 g/m2), soft for a nice fall. A slightly heavy viscose or tencel twill, light wools, linen, a soft jacquard. Stiff fabrics are not recommended, as the pleats won’t fall properly.
